Slow down audio and practice with A-B repeat

Slow down audio without changing pitch and practice the part you want to learn. Open an MP3, M4A, WAV, or another audio file that your browser can play. This audio speed changer is useful for learning a guitar solo by ear, checking a rhythm, or playing along with your own recording. Choose a file with the open button, or drag it onto the page to get started. You do not need a YouTube link or a search result.

Listen to the recording and set point A where your practice section begins. Set point B where it ends, then start A-B repeat. The player returns to A each time it reaches B, so you can keep working on the same phrase without finding it again. Use the time fields and small adjustments to put the boundaries around the notes you want to hear. The position bar also lets you move through the recording.

Choose a playback speed between 0.5 and 1.0 times the original speed. Pitch preservation keeps the notes at their original pitch while you slow down the performance. Start at a comfortable speed and choose a faster setting when you are ready. Add a restart delay if you need a moment to put your hands back on the guitar before the section plays again. Keyboard controls let you pause, set boundaries, and restart without reaching for the mouse each time.

Your file is not uploaded to a server. Playback happens inside your browser, and the audio itself is not saved by this tool. You can save named audio phrases containing your section, speed, and restart delay. Next time, select the same file again and choose a saved phrase to restore its settings. Export your audio phrases as a separate JSON backup if you want to keep a copy or move the settings to another browser. Keep the original audio file too: a phrase backup contains practice settings, not the recording.
